Privacy Policy

The short version: everything you type into a Jivora tool stays on your device. There are no accounts, and Jivora itself sets no tracking cookies.

Last updated: 6 October 2026. This policy explains what happens when you use Jivora (the “Site”). It is written in plain language on purpose.

1. What Jivora never receives

The tools run entirely in your browser. When you use a calculator, counter, formatter, generator or the image compressor, your input is processed locally with JavaScript and is not sent to any server. That includes:

  • numbers entered into calculators,
  • text pasted into the word counter or JSON formatter,
  • passwords generated by the password generator,
  • content encoded into QR codes,
  • images selected for compression (they are read from your device and re-encoded on an off-screen canvas).

Jivora has no backend that could store this data. You can verify it yourself: disconnect from the internet and every tool will continue to work.

2. No accounts

There is no login, signup or user profile, so Jivora holds no name, email address or password of yours. Nothing in the Site asks you to identify yourself.

3. What is stored on your device

Jivora stores one small preference in your browser's localStorage: your chosen colour theme (jivora-theme, either “light” or “dark”). It never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

4. Anonymous usage analytics

The Site may use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage — which pages and tools are popular, what device types are used, and general country-level location. When enabled it is configured to:

  • anonymise IP addresses,
  • disable advertising signals and user-ID collection,
  • record only page-level events (for example a tool was opened or a result copied) — never the contents you type.

Analytics is optional: if no measurement ID is configured, no analytics script is loaded and no data is collected. Google's own handling of analytics data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies

Jivora itself does not set cookies. If Google Analytics is enabled, Google may set or read cookies as described above. Jivora does not use advertising cookies, fingerprinting or cross-site tracking.

6. Third-party links

Pages may occasionally link to external resources (documentation, standards, or services mentioned in an article). Those sites have their own privacy policies, and Jivora is not responsible for their content or practices.

7. Children's privacy

Jivora is suitable for all ages and knowingly collects no personal data from anyone, including children. Because no personal data is collected, no parental-consent mechanism is required.

8. Changes to this policy

If the Site ever gains a feature that processes data differently — for example a optional saved-history feature — this page will be updated before that feature ships, and the change date above will move.

Remember: because tools process everything locally, sensitive inputs — private keys, confidential documents, unreleased data — never travel over the network when you use Jivora.
