How to use this generator

  1. Set your range. Enter a minimum and maximum — whole numbers for dice and picks, decimals for sampling and simulations.
  2. Choose how many. One number for a single pick, or up to 100 for a list. Turn on Unique to guarantee no repeats within a draw.
  3. Press Generate. A fresh set appears instantly, with the range and count summarised underneath.
  4. Copy and reuse. Copy puts the whole set on your clipboard, and every press of Generate draws again from scratch.

Useful information

Not all random numbers are equal. Picking from Math.random() is fine for shuffling a playlist, but anything with stakes — prize draws, test data, security-adjacent sampling — deserves better entropy. This tool uses the browser's cryptographic random source and an unbiased mapping onto your range.

Why unbiased matters

The naïve way to get a number in a range is “take the raw random value and divide”. When the range doesn't divide evenly into the random source's size, some outcomes become slightly more likely than others. This generator rejects the uneven tail, so every value in your range is exactly as likely as every other — no matter how odd the range is.

Integers vs decimals

Whole numbers cover classic uses: raffles (1–100), dice (1–6), seating picks, lottery-style draws. Decimals produce values anywhere between your bounds with two decimal places — useful for jitter, random prices, coordinates and simulation inputs. Unique mode is an integer concept, so it switches off in decimal mode.

Unique draws, honestly checked

With Unique on, each number is drawn without replacement — try to ask for 50 numbers from a range of 30 and the tool refuses with a clear message instead of quietly repeating values behind your back.

Privacy: everything is generated locally. The numbers never leave your tab — refresh and the results are gone.

Frequently asked questions

Is the randomness truly random?

Yes — numbers come from your browser's cryptographically secure random generator, the same source used for passwords and security tokens, not from a predictable pattern. They are well suited to draws, games and sampling.

What ranges and counts are supported?

Any integer range with the minimum less than or equal to the maximum (negative numbers fine), or any decimal range with up to two decimal places. You can request between 1 and 100 numbers per draw.

Can I get unique, non-repeating numbers?

Yes — turn on unique for integer draws and every number is different. The tool checks that your range is large enough for the count you asked for and tells you if it isn't. Uniqueness is an integer-only option; decimal mode disables the checkbox.

Can I use it for dice rolls and games?

Absolutely: set 1 to 6 for a standard die, 1 to 100 for percentages, 1 to 10 for a ten-sided pick. Each press of Generate draws a fresh set — nothing is cached or reused between clicks.

Are my numbers stored anywhere?

No. Generation happens entirely in this tab — the results are never sent to a server, saved or logged by Jivora.
